CHAPTER 13 – innocently guilty

The chill pulsed through the bodies of the pack members. Tamaska was the first to turn around in the direction of Zero's scent. Then he bolted ahead leading the pack. Only Mayra, Blain and Aero stay behind with Arrow's body. In a blink of Mayra's weeping eyes the pack members were disappearing in the distance.
Their thunderous charge made the earth quiver. The trees also shook with fear, this made the grass and bushes twitch nervously. Thick gray clouds rolled in the sky, they drifted in front of the Moon's view in an attempt to stop it but the luminous glow of the moon was too powerful, as is pierced through them with ease.
The night wore on and the pack seemed to have made no progress in hunting down this bloody thirsty assassin. Soon the moon called it a day and let its nemesis take over. Now it was the sun's time to shine. And it did so with fear and worry, although the sun was the sauce of energy and heat it almost seemed cold in it's dreary home. Then just like her brother, she too must sleep. She sank into the horizon and once again her sibling lit up the dark night.
The pack hadn't rested for an entire day now. Their paws were blistered and sore; their limbs were aching and heavy. They were getting close. Zero's scent was getting stronger and this drove them to keep going. Suddenly Pasha stopped but her pack mates keep going. They didn't notice she'd stopped as she was travelling at the back and they're far too focused. They steadily distance themselves from her, their footsteps fade away. Pasha senses something. Something's calling her the other away. She turns to her left and looks through the trees. She follows her calling. She runs, pushes the trees out the way as she does so. Her feet beat rapidly rhythmically on the ground. Zero's scent grows stronger.
The air suddenly chilled, the iced winds shocked Pasha's exhausted limps. The sky was darker than the previous nights but the moon still fought against it. The trees started to thin out. Pasha raced onwards refusing to let her nerves control her. She began to approach a clearing. The feeling she felt before was at its strongest so far. A figure is what she could see. It stood a mere 5 meters in front of her, staring out at the moon, as if under its under the moon's spell. Pasha knew who it was as soon as she saw the opening for the clearing. She could smell Arrows blood. Something seemed unnerving and unnatural. She took a step out, no longer hiding in the shadows. Then her other foot soon followed the first with no hesitation, then the next foot, then the next. She was edging closer to him. As she puts her right front foot down, his ears twitch. In that instant he swings his head round to his right. The last thing Pasha saw was those glowing blood red eyes. Then it all went black. Zero had swung his head round and jumped up at her throat. His teeth sunk into her tender flesh. He could feel her blood touch his lips, it spat at his face. Then suddenly a load of bloody purred out uncontrollably as her main archery in her neck was severed. Zero releases his grip and lets her slid across the grass with the force of his attack. His front feet meet the ground once more. Head lowered, teeth snarling, hackles raised. Her deep red blood trickles down his fangs then once it reaches the peak, it falls to it's death and splats on a blade of grass. His muzzle soaked and stained with blood of his victims. He glared at Pasha's broken body. He tongue hand loosely from her mouth. She still leaks the blood of which he spilt. The blood spills out over the grass.
Zero's face suddenly changed expression as he had a flashback. His mind does back to one of his nightmares, where he attacked someone in this exact same way, but didn't know who it was. He knows now; this nightmare was a warning of this very moment but he failed to realise it.
He wept. Thunder broke out and with it came rain. Tears now followed from his eyes and flooded his face as he ran over to his lost lover. He saw the damage he'd done. He runs over to her. His eyes jitter. He then ran around her and lied down behind her. Her head was near is belly and his head rested on her shoulder. He began to sob uncontrollably but you couldn't tell as the rain washed away his tears. He lifts his head up and howls a cry of pain. Screaming out. The rain shot his face. He gently sets his head back down and uses his head to pull Pasha in closer to him. His tears flow down the sides of his muzzle and onto Pasha's fur, there they just seeped away. Pasha's blood was being washed away by the rain along with her life.
Im so sorry this took so long but here it is hope you enjoy :)
